ingredients & substitutions
Steak: I always use left over steak we have for this steak crostini recipe. We most often buy sterloin or strip steak. You an also use hanger steak. You can grill or pan fry it. I most often pan sear the steak in a cast iron skillet and finish it in the oven. I often make a larger steak for my husband and I to have with salads for dinner, then use the leftovers to make this recipe! It makes life a lot easier and allows you to make a dinner and an appetizer recipe at the same time.
Gluten-Free Baguette: The toasted baguette holds up well with the toppings, and is suitable for those with gluten sensitivities. I have celiac disease and eat gluten free so I know how important it is to be able to make a delicious gluten free dish!
Cranberry Goat Cheese: I love the creamy goat cheese on these crostini! The cheese has a sweet, salty and tart flavor. If you can’t find cranberry goat cheese, plain goat cheese or honey goat cheese works great too!
Garlic Aioli and Balsamic Glaze: Creamy, garlicky aioli adds a rich, savory sauce-like spread. To me, the more garlic the better. The balsamic glaze adds a touch of sophistication to the dish, plus it looks pretty drizzled on top.
Arugula: I honestly add arugula to almost everything. If you don’t love arugula like me, you can always pivot and use spinach or parsley instead for a touch of green!
directions
Step 1
First, slice the gluten free baguette into thin pieces. I like to use 3/4″-1″ slices. Then, add the slices to a lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil Season with salt and pepper.

Next, bake the crostini slices on 350 for about 5 minutes. You can also air fry the baguette slices on 390 for 4-6 minutes. Once done, the bread should be toasted, browned and crispy.
Step 3
Next, spread cranberry goat cheese on each crostini and top with a handful of arugula.
