    My overnight oats with chocolate protein powder are the easiest way to wake up and have a protein-packed breakfast! Whip them up in 5 minutes, in one bowl and two steps. I love starting my day with oats because they keep me full until lunch. This recipe has no added sugar and is naturally sweetened with applesauce.

    Can we talk about how delicious these overnight oats with chocolate protein powder are? They are so delicious that I ate them for breakfast and then after dinner again! I use gluten-free oats and protein powder, so the recipe stays completely gluten-free.

    • Gluten-free oats: The base of the Overnight Oats with Chocolate Protein Powder recipe – don’t be tempted to use quick oats.
    • Milk of choice: Whatever you’d usually enjoy in your cereal or coffee.
    • Applesauce: I use unsweetened apple sauce – it adds body to the recipe and helps the ingredients bind together
    • Chocolate protein powder: Check the back of the pack to make sure your protein powder is gluten free.
    • Cocoa powder: I like to use a high-quality, rich cocoa powder that’s also unsweetened.
    • Rainbow sprinkles (optional): I mean – why not?

    How do I make this recipe?

    Place all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them together.

    Divide up and spoon the mixture into mason jars.

    Close the lids, pop them into the fridge, and let them “set” overnight.

    • Let the Overnight Oats with Chocolate Protein Powder sit at least 4 hours: (overnight is best) for the creamiest consistency.
    • Stir well before eating: Since protein powder can settle overnight.

    CAN I USE YOGURT INSTEAD OF MILK?

    Yes! I would add it on top of the Overnight Oats with Chocolate Protein Powder when serving instead of mixing it in.

    ARE OATS NATURALLY GLUTEN FREE?

    They are naturally gluten free but there may be cross contamination so I like to use certified gluten free oats for a gluten free recipe.

    CAN I USE VEGAN MILK?

    Yes! Any milk will work here in this Overnight Oats with Protein Powder recipe. Choose from almond milk, oat milk, dairy milk, skim milk, etc.!

    CAN I USE VEGAN PROTEIN POWDER?

    How Do I Serve this?

    I like to serve the Overnight Oats with Protein Powder in the morning, straight out of the fridge, either at home or on-the-go. It makes a delicious dessert, too!

    You can have the Overnight Oats with Chocolate Protein Powder as is or top it with yogurt, chopped fruit, berries, etc. Add more sprinkles if you like!

    How do I Store and Meal Prep this recipe?

    Store in the fridge for 4-5 days. Keep the overnight oats with chocolate protein powder in sealed containers.

    Make it on Sunday evening to enjoy over the next few mornings.

    I don’t recommend freezing this recipe.

    Equipment

    • 4 mason jars

    Ingredients
      

    • 2 cups of gluten free oats
    • 2 cups of milk of choice
    • 1/4 cup applesauce
    • 3 tbsp chocolate protein powder
    • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
    • ½ cup rainbow sprinkles optional

    Instructions
     

    • Place all the ingredients into a large bowl. Mix everything together until well-combined.
    • Separate the chocolate mixture into mason jars. You can also choose to set the mixture in a single dish or container.
    • Cover and refrigerate overnight, allowing the oats to soak up the liquid and set.
