- Onion: Shallots can be used as a substitute in this Easy Shrimp Creole Recipe, although they have a milder flavor. Leeks can also be used, but they should be well-washed to remove grit.

- 1 cup green beans trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup cooked white rice
