Easy Strawberry Oatmeal Recipe (Gluten Free)

This strawberry oatmeal is an an easy breakfast to take on the go. It is gluten free and dairy free and can be made vegan.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • cup oat milk
  • 1 tbsp protein powder gluten free/dairy free
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter powder
  • 1 tbsp Chocolate chips Dairy Free
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried strawberries or fresh
  • 1/2 Banana Sliced

Instructions
 

  • Combine everything but the toppings: In a medium saucepan, whisk together the mashed bananas, oats, oat milk, protein powder, and peanut butter powder.
  • Cook the oatmeal: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the oatmeal thickens and the oats are tender.
  • Serve and enjoy! Remove the oatmeal from the heat and pour it into a bowl.
  • Top with chocolate chips, freeze-dried strawberries, and sliced banana.

Notes

  • You can uses strawberry milk in this homemade oatmeal to enhance the strawberry flavor in your creamy bowl of oatmeal. Add fresh strawberries in addition to the freeze dried strawberries to enhance the strawberry oats.
  • Sub blueberries instead of strawberries for a blueberry oatmeal.
  • Use a cake flavor or vanilla flavor protein for added flavoring to the oats without adding added sugar.
  • Make this strawberry oatmeal nut free by subbing more protein powder in place of the peanut butter powder. 
  • To make this vegan, simply ensure your protein powder is plant-based.
