why you’ll love this recipe
This peanut butter marshmallow dream bar recipe is crunchy, loaded with peanut butter cereal and oozing with gooey marshmallows.
This copycat Starbucks rice crispy treats recipe, better known as their marshmallow dream bars recipe, is SUPER easy to make at home. So I took that idea, created a recipe around it and upgraded it with some peanut butter cereal!
Standard rice crispies are no longer gluten free. Kellogg’s Rice Krispies are now made with malt, which comes from barley and may contain gluten. Therefore, most recently, Kellogg’s has announce that rice krispies are not labeled gluten free. So to keep this recipe gluten free, I had to use another cereal. My aboslute favorite cereal out there is peanut butter chex, this IS labeled as gluten free and is packed with yummy peanut butter flavoring.
I absolutely love the rice crispy treats from Starbucks. So why not make them at home?
This peanut butter marshallow dream bar recipe is a crowd pleaser. Every time I make them, they are gone in less than 24 hours. You can eat these dream bars as a snack, as a dessert or honestly as a breakfast (I mean technically it is cereal, right!?)
