    This delicious, soft and moist chocolate loaf bread is perfect for the winter season! Its cozy, filled with cocoa powder and chocolate protein, and topped with marshmallows and chocolate chips. With these simple ingredients you likely already have at home, you can easily satisfy your next chocolate craving! This chocolate loaf bread takes less than 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to bread. Plus you don’t need any yeast or a fancy mixer!

    This chocolate loaf bread is gluten free, dairy free, tree nut free, nut free and can easily be made vegan!

    WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS RECIPE

    This recipe is great for those days when you crave chocolate but you want to keep it a little healthier. This chocolate loaf bread is make with bananas, tahini, gluten free flour, maple syrup, applesauce, and either chocolate protein powder or just plain cocoa! Basically, its a healthy combo to stop your chocolate cravings!

    This loaf bread takes 10 minutes or less to prepare the batter. Its a 1 bowl recipe which means you just mix the ingredients in one bowl and don’t have to dirty any extra dishes. Then you add to a lined loaf pan and bake! Thats all! Simple as that!

    This bread is perfect anytime. You can have it as a warm snack or eat it as cozy chocolate dessert bread after dinner. You can serve it for the holidays as a special holiday dessert, or make it just for yourself to have at home!

    Chocolate is hands down my go-to any day of the week for a sweet treat. I love a handful of chocolate chips as a snack, chocolate covered banana slices, and of course a good chocolate bread. This chocolate loaf bread doesn’t use anything unhealthy. It is packed with mashed bananas, applesauce, protein powder and vegan chocoalte chips so you won’t have to feel like you are ruining your healthy day.

    INGREDIENTS & SUBSTITUTIONS

    Bananas: Bananas add a natural sweetness and a moist texture to the bread. They also help to bind the ingredients together.

    Cocoa tahini: Cocoa tahini is a blend of tahini (ground sesame seeds) and cocoa powder. It has a rich, chocolatey flavor with a slightly nutty undertone. It also adds a slightly chewy texture to the bread.

    Gluten free flour: Gluten free flour is a blend of different flours that do not contain gluten. It is used to make baked goods that are suitable for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. You can use any gluten free flour blend you like to bake with. If you are not gluten free you can use any all purpose flower.

    Chocolate protein powder: Chocolate protein powder is a type of protein powder that is flavored with chocolate. It can be used to add protein to baked goods without adding a lot of fat or sugar.

    Maple syrup: Maple syrup is a natural sweetener that is made from the sap of maple trees. It has a unique flavor that is slightly sweet and nutty. Instead of maple syrup you can use honey.

    Applesauce: Applesauce adds moisture and sweetness to the bread without adding a lot of fat or sugar. It also helps to make the bread lighter and fluffier. Instead of applesauce you can use mashed bananas.

    Vegan chocolate chips: Vegan chocolate chips are made without dairy products. They have the same rich, chocolatey flavor as traditional chocolate chips.

    Marshmallows: Marshmallows are soft, chewy candies that are made with sugar, gelatin, and air. They add sweetness and a fun, gooey texture to the bread.

    TASTE & TEXTURE

    A chocolate loaf bread made with mashed bananas, cocoa tahini, gluten free flour, chocolate protein powder, maple syrup, apple sauce, vegan chocolate chips, and marshmallows would have a rich, chocolatey flavor with a hint of banana sweetness. The cocoa tahini would add a nutty depth of flavor and a slightly chewy texture. The gluten free flour and apple sauce would make the bread moist and light. The chocolate protein powder would give the bread a boost of protein and a slightly fudgy texture. The vegan chocolate chips and marshmallows would add sweetness and a fun, gooey texture.

    DIRECTIONS

    Step 1

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Step 2

    Add 1/2 of marshmallows and 1/2 of chocolate chips.

    Step 3

    Add to loaf pan.

    Bake on 350 for 25-30 minutes.

    Step 4

    Add remaining 1/2 of marshmallows and 1/2 of chocolate chips on top during last 5 minutes of baking.

    HOW TO MAKE THIS HEALTHIER

    To make this healthier, use the chocolate protein powder instead of cocoa powder. That way, you can add a little extra protein to your day!

    HOW TO MAKE THIS VEGAN

    To make this chocolate loaf bread vegan make sure to use vegan marshmallows on top. Standard marshmallows are not vegan so make sure you check the bag when buying!

    HOW TO SERVE & STORE

    I like to serve this chocolate loaf bread with a scoop of healthy ice cream or frozen yogurt. You can even serve with a spread of healthy yogurt or a spoonful of whipped cream. This easy-to-make chocolate loaf bread is a must-bake for chocolate addicts!
