- Don’t worry about not breaking those lasagna noodles, this recipe calls for the lasagna noodles to be broken. Yep, you read that right! It does’t get an easier than that.

ingredients & substitutions
Ground Chicken: A lean protein. I also have used ground turkey and ground beef! Totally your choice! Chicken is just my go to for this lazy lasagna.
Marinara Sauce: You can use any flavor tomato sauce or marinara sauce. My favorite is the garlic tomato sauce from Raos.
No-Boil Lasagna Noodles: Pre-cooked lasagna sheets that require less preparation time and cook quickly. I use gluten free lasagna noodles for a gluten free recipe. You can also use regular lasagna noodles, they will just need to cook longer.
Ricotta Cheese: I use dairy free ricotta when I want a dairy free recipe and fat free when I want a low fat deconstructed lasagna recipe.
Mozzarella Cheese: Again, same as the ricotta, I use dairy free ricotta when I want a dairy free lazy lasagna recipe and fat free when I want a low fat lazy lasagna recipe.
Chopped Spinach: I need to pack some veggies in this deconstructed lasagna so thats where the spinach comes in. You can use fresh or frozen.

serving, storing and meal prepping the Deconstructed Lasagna
For the best flavor and texture, I serve the deconstructed lasagna hot and fresh from the stovetop! Like asap! You want the cheese ooey and gooey. I add a touch of color and flavor, garnish with fresh basil leaves, a sprinkle of chopped fresh spinach or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese! I love to pair this lazy lasagna or gluten free lasagna dish with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
If there are deconstructed lasagna leftovers, which there rarely is at my house, I transfer them to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, I transfer the leftovers to a microwave-safe dish and heat in short bursts until heated through.
