These gluten and dairy free waffles are made with just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and they’re ready in just minutes. These waffles are perfect for a quick and easy weeknight breakfast or to meal prep ahead of time.
Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, oat milk, vegetable oil, and maple syrup.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix, or the waffles will be tough.
Stir in the chocolate chips (if using).
Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
If the batter is too thick, add a little more oat milk. If the batter is too thin, add a little more gluten-free flour. Don’t overcook the waffles, or they will become dry.
