Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 3 minutes
Servings 4 waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup oat milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, oat milk, vegetable oil, and maple syrup.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix, or the waffles will be tough.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips (if using).
  • Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

If the batter is too thick, add a little more oat milk. If the batter is too thin, add a little more gluten-free flour. Don’t overcook the waffles, or they will become dry.
