15-Minute Gluten Free Spicy Chicken Burger

After going gluten free, some days I just miss being able to order a burger or a chicken sandwich at a bar. They always have such good bar toppings and I love sandwiches and finger food out at a restaurant. The only way to get this type of burger was to make it at home! I mastered this gluten free spicy chicken burger at home by making the chicken burgers from scratch in the air fryer!
This spicy chicken burger is gluten free and can be made dairy free! The burgers are made in the air fryer so you don't even need a grill.

Ingredients
  

Burger Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños chopped
  • 1/4 cup low fat mozzarella cheese
  • 4 gluten free hamburger buns

Burger Toppings:

  • 1 cup Lettuce
  • 1/4 tbsp Pickles
  • 1/4 tbsp Pickled onions

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce coconut aminos or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Combine the ground chicken, egg, chopped pickled jalapeños, and cheese in a bowl.
  • Mix well to combine. Form the mixture into a patty that fits your hamburger bun. Make sure the edges are smooth as the burger will not change shape in the air fryer.
  • Add the patties to the air fryer pan or basket.
  • Air Fry the burgers for 7-10 minutes on 425 or until fully cooked through.
  • Combine the ingredients for the sauce in a separate bowl.
  • Assemble your burger on the bun with your toppings!
